The primary purpose of this expedition was to assist with teaching high school science teachers how scientists search for life on other planets.  Within this context, I provided instruction and demonstrations as we collected ground-based thermal images of caves over a 24-hour period and collected temperature data to investigate differences in sensor placement in cave entrances.   This project was funded by NASA’s Spaceward Bound Program and the USGS.
